Published on 5/16/2012 //

Still there is a good number of people who hunt for new job in the industry and yet they struggle to get one. For developed countries the rate is not that high but the struggle still there due to competition resulted by many number of professionals and experts. Within our country the matter is different, there are some reasons which make it too difficult to find a new job in the industry and here are the techniques to overcome them

  • Obtain the skills
The key to any technical job is the correct skills one have on doing the roles specified. So learn much enough to achieve the knowledge that will enable you to perform the roles. If you want to be self-employed or get employed as a programmer then learn how to code with all the associated aspects, if you want to be a good network engineers learn at least how to design and configure networks and get certified because the traditional degree is not that enough
  • Get experienced
This refers to how many times you keep doing something, for those who are already in the industry and wants to shift for another job this is simple because they opt to get used with a certain technology which will reflects their new job roles. For those who are still in colleges or universities try to invest yourself in your own projects, example if you want to be employed as web developers try to develop your own websites. The second good opportunity for students to get experience is to attach themselves in some companies or institutions for free or small payments doing some part time jobs or internship. Use your practical training attachment wise

  • Build connections
Connections is the treasure that everyone should cherish to have, know people in the industry, be nice to them since they will update you on the new positions before even get advertised. There is a big advantage once you get into the interview room then you realize that one of the interviewers knows you in a good side. So if you are already employed try to build connections with other professionals in the industry and if you are still a student or just a fresh graduate do not hesitate to attend in different career or professional gather and talk to people who are already in the industry.
If you want to be a programmer mingle with programmers!!!

  • Get Exposed
Do not be one of the people who afraid to show their abilities, After getting some proper knowledge and built your connections find a way to show people what you can do so that they can remember you as a proper candidate to assist. As we are in the era of globalization knowing how those who are in other countries do could be of a great help in making your decision on what to learn or specialize in or sometimes even how to implement the specific solution locally. You won’t discover the field of your interest to specialize in before get exposed or expose yourself on the career that you will end in

Which Job pays much?
This is a relative question as currently we do not have any common salary scale that affects all IT professionals within the country. So what serve as the factor of how much to get paid is your level of skills, experience and mostly common the way you convince the panel during interview.
Self-employment is the good option to earn more although it posses with many challenges such as capital and lack of proper knowledge of entrepreneurship. Hardworking, faith and patient needed to succeed

Taking into account all the facts we can conclude that the Information Technology industry in our country has just started with many opportunities, it is up to us to fill them.
